MobilityPlus+ FortisHD Lightweight Folding Electric Wheelchair | Wide Seat, 180kg Load Capacity

Heavy-Duty Strength. Lightweight Design. Everyday Freedom.

The FortisHD Electric Wheelchair is our strongest yet practical folding powerchair – expertly designed for users who need higher weight capacity, extra space, and long-range performance, all in a surprisingly lightweight 28kg design.

Developed from our trusted Ultra-Light Instant Folding Electric Wheelchair and MobilityPlus+ RangerXL, the FortisHD delivers exceptional strength and comfort without the bulk typically associated with heavy-duty powerchairs.

Heavy-Duty Power in a Lightweight Frame

Despite supporting users up to 180kg (28.5 stone), the FortisHD weighs just 28kg, making it one of the lightest heavy-duty folding electric wheelchairs in its class. This balance of strength and portability makes everyday handling, transport, and storage significantly easier for users and carers alike.

Driven by two powerful 350W motors, the chair offers smooth, confident performance indoors and outdoors. Air-filled tyres and all-round suspension absorb bumps and uneven surfaces, delivering a stable and comfortable ride across a variety of terrains.

Extended Range with Smart Dual Battery System

The FortisHD comes with two lithium batteries, providing an impressive range of up to 26 miles on a full charge. For added flexibility, the chair can also operate using a single battery, giving up to 13 miles of travel when required. This allows you to use them in rotation for no downtime.

The front-loading, quick-release battery system is designed for maximum convenience. Batteries can be removed in seconds with no fiddly cables, are easily accessible even when the chair is folded, and crucially without the user needing to bend down – ideal for everyday charging and travel.

Extra Room for All-Day Comfort

Comfort is enhanced with a wider 51cm seat and 56cm armrest width, providing additional space and support without compromising the chair’s compact, folding footprint. This makes the FortisHD an excellent choice for users who need more room than standard powerchairs can offer.

Folds in Seconds – Ready When You Are

Despite its heavy-duty capabilities, the FortisHD features a one touch design that folds in seconds for storage or transport, making it suitable for car boots, travel, and compact storage spaces.
